Other construction services.
Professional inspections to ensure construction quality.
We offer specific construction services and building services that ensure the durability and energy efficiency of your building. From testing soil bearing capacity to thermography – our construction services help detect problems before they turn into expensive extra costs. Since 2001, we have helped hundreds of clients build with quality.
Why are other construction services essential at critical stages?
In addition to site supervision, permit applications, and audits, we provide several specific technical inspections and construction-time studies that ensure the building’s durability, energy efficiency, and long-term quality.
The other construction services we provide include soil bearing capacity testing, depressurisation testing, thermography, and concrete moisture measurement.
These important building services must be ordered at exactly the right time – before concreting and before installing interior and exterior finishes. A test that is done too late no longer helps, because the defects are already hidden inside the structure.
Construction services that are ordered at the right time help avoid costly mistakes and ensure that your building meets the highest quality standards.
Which construction inspection does what?
Below you will find all other construction services we provide. Each description is written to help you understand when it is needed and what the inspection includes. Every building and inspection is different - the final price depends on the object and the client’s needs after we have reviewed them.
Soil bearing capacity testing is one of the most important construction services before concreting floors and strip footings, building roads, and installing pipelines. Measurements carried out with an Inspector device show whether soil compaction is sufficient and whether the sub-base can carry the planned loads.
Insufficiently compacted soil causes cracking and settlement of concrete floors, deformation of roads and parking areas, shifting and leaking of pipelines, and uneven settlement of building foundations.
This construction service is especially important for private houses before pouring concrete floors and building driveways, for development projects when constructing large parking areas and roads, for apartment buildings before constructing parking areas and landscaping, and for homeowners associations before renovating yard areas. See also our homeowners association services.
The inspection gives you confidence that you are building on a high-quality and durable base and helps avoid expensive repair work in the future.
The depressurisation test is a critically important construction service that measures how airtight the wind and vapour barriers of the building are before starting finishing works. This test shows whether the building’s airtightness meets energy efficiency requirements and whether air leaks are sufficiently small.
Air leaks cause high heating costs and energy losses, condensation and mould in walls, an uneven indoor climate and draughts, and failure to meet minimum energy efficiency requirements.
The test is especially important for private houses – particularly low-energy or passive houses, as an indicator for apartment buildings in meeting energy efficiency requirements, and for development projects to ensure quality and obtain an occupancy permit.
A timely test allows leakage points to be fixed before finishing, saving money and ensuring a comfortable living environment.
Thermography as a preventive construction service helps detect heat loss, air leaks, cold bridges, and areas of uneven insulation before the building is finished. Thermal imaging is an important part of construction inspection that helps prevent energy losses and indoor climate problems in the future.
The test shows insufficient or unevenly installed insulation, locations of air leaks around windows, doors, and joints, locations of cold bridges (concrete columns, beams), and areas where moisture is accumulating inside structures.
It is suitable for private houses – especially when constructing energy-efficient buildings, for apartment buildings before finishing and after insulation works, and for renovation projects to identify problem areas in old buildings.
Performing thermography during construction makes it possible to correct defects before they become invisible and expensive to fix.
Concrete moisture control is a mandatory construction service before installing floor coverings (parquet, laminate, vinyl, carpet) and wall finishes. Concrete that is too moist causes swelling and deformation of parquet and laminate, mould growth and unpleasant odours, adhesion problems with vinyl and carpet, and loss of finish material warranty.
The inspection is important for private houses before installing floor coverings, for apartment buildings before finishing works, and for renovation projects before laying new floor coverings on old concrete.
Checking substrate moisture ensures that finish materials are installed at the right time and remain high quality for decades.
If you need a more thorough overview of the condition of the building, we recommend ordering a building inspection audit or a pre-purchase property inspection, which provide a comprehensive picture of the building’s quality and potential risks.
Quality is in the details – professional construction services ensure durability.
Construction quality does not depend only on materials and the skills of builders – it also requires timely and accurate inspections at critical stages. All our building services and construction services are designed to detect problems before they become invisible or expensive to repair.
Since 2001, we have helped hundreds of clients avoid costly construction defects. Every inspection has its own story – from cracks in a concrete floor, where repairs would have cost 5000 euros, to mould in walls that would have developed due to air leaks. Every construction service we provide is an investment that saves money, time, and nerves in the future.
Our recommendation: do not postpone important additional construction services and inspections to the end of the project. The earlier you detect a problem, the cheaper it is to fix. For example, the results of a depressurisation test can save thousands of euros in heating costs over the coming decades.
Frequently asked questions about these construction services.
When is the right time to order a depressurisation test?
The ideal time for a depressurisation test is when windows and doors are installed and vapour and wind barrier layers are completed, but interior finishing has not yet started. At that point, identified leaks can still be corrected easily and cheaply.
Can soil bearing capacity testing be done in winter?
No, soil bearing capacity testing cannot be done when the ground is frozen. The inspection should be carried out before the arrival of cold weather or when the soil has thawed and been compacted in spring.
How expensive is thermography for a private house?
The price of thermography depends on the size and complexity of the building. For an average private house (150–200 m²), thermographic testing usually costs 250–400 euros. This is a small investment compared to the costs caused by uncorrected heat leaks or structural defects in the future.
Why is concrete moisture control so important?
Concrete that is too moist is the biggest enemy of floor coverings. If you install parquet, laminate, or vinyl on damp concrete, swelling, deformation, and mould will appear within 1–2 years. Moisture control ensures that the concrete is dry enough and that the warranty of finish materials remains valid.
Are these construction services mandatory?
Most of these tests are not required by law, but they are strongly recommended to ensure construction quality. A depressurisation test may be required for energy efficiency assessment. Even if a test is not mandatory, timely inspection can save thousands of euros in future repair costs.
How quickly can you carry out an inspection after ordering?
We can usually perform an inspection within 3–7 working days after receiving the order. In urgent cases we try to find a faster solution. Contact us to discuss your project schedule – we will find a suitable time.
